Confessions of a Brushlicker: Casting Malifaux Cult of December Ice Gamins in Acrylic PART ONE

Hello everyone!

Dark Brotherhood, your favorite paint chip taste tester here again, this time to show you how to cast ice creatures in clear acrylic to get a special effect like so:

Pretty cool, huh?  Yeah I was pleased.  Before we get started, I should make a big block of ALLCAPS text in red.
THIS ARTICLE, AND THE STUFF MADE IN IT, OR THE STUFF THAT THIS ARTICLE INSPIRES PEOPLE TO MAKE, SHOULD NOT AND IS NOT INTENDED TO INFRINGE ON THE COPYRIGHTS OR IP OF WRYD GAMES OR ANY OTHER MODEL MAKER, ESPECIALLY GAMES WORKSHOP.  THIS ARTICLE INTENDS TO SHOW HOW YOU CAN PROXY YOUR OWN MODELS IN CLEAR ACRYLIC TO MAKE THEM LOOK COOL, BUT YOU SHOULD ALWAYS HAVE YOUR ORIGINAL MODELS ON HAND TO SHOW A TOURNAMENT ORGANIZER.

Saturday night, March 3rd, we will be painting for ...well...painting night. We will also be watching the Marike Reimer DVD. More details after the jump!

Iron Man Painting Challenge RETURNS!

Well, its that time of year again!

Break out your brushes and paint pots, caffeinate yourself to an inadvisable degree, and get ready to throw down in the most grueling painting event EVAR!

IRON MAN PAINTING CHALLENGE is our twice-yearly, pre-convention painting pow-wow. That's a lot of hyphens. 

Join us Saturday, February 9th at 11:00 am, and paint all day, and all night, and far into the next day IF YOU ARE IRON MAN ENOUGH!

This a great opportunity to just sit down and grind out all of those minis you've been meaning to get finished, while enjoying good company and eating terrible junk food.

Refreshments will be provided, and wimps will be mocked. 

I MIGHT paint some Dark Eldar.  But probably not.

 It means that, as most of you know, the Knights will be presenting the 40k tournament at Tacticon this year.
Let that sink in...

It also means that on Friday night, June 29th, at midnight (Technically the 30th), we will be hosting a Midnight Release Party and late night gaming session for 40K6E!  We will sell the rulebooks, in whatever form they may be in, and anyone who purchases one will get 20% off any OTHER GW product in the store. Then, we will play VIe until we all fall over.
