Well, some of us did it. The rest are too smart. After a grueling 27+ hours, our semi-annual painting marathon has ended. Tears were shed, dudes were painted, caffeine was consumed. In the end, only Michael, Allan, and Nate made it all the way through. Which means that the old dudes outlasted the kids. Shame, shame, shame. Photos from the event and color commentary after the jump!

We did it!

Tacticon Prep RTT: Round 1
Over the weekend, the Knights hosted a 3 round 40K tourney, using scenarios we are tinkering with for Tacticon. I was TO and felt it went rather well. We had a great group of guys come up from Colorado Springs. We had 9 players, though, if some people could work an alarm, we may have had 11 or 12. We are running another one on the 17th, and hope to have an even better turn out. If we can get 10 players, I would like to add a best painted or players choice into the mix. Sorry, no sports, its to hard to judge when you play your opponent every week. "Would you play this guy again?" "Do I have a choice"... On to the results.
Placings:
1st Matt(Tyranids): 59 points
2nd Jason(Daemons): 42 points
3rd Shaffer(Tau): 42 points(with a by)
Read on for pictures of the rounds.

Project 2d8 on communityfunded.com
Hello! DB here.
I usually don't soapbox here, but our friends over at Project 2d8 have a cool project up that we think a lot of the gaming community will be interested in. It is an open source web-based platform that provides in person and in-chat RPG mapping and utilities! Kind of like what Dungeon Tools completely failed to do.
Have a look at the facebook page, like em up, and then if you are keen on it, head on over to communityfunded.com and "endorse" the project (it's like a like on facebook).
They are participating in a promotional thing that Community Funded is putting on where if they are in the top four projects as far as endorsements are concerned they get a boost to their funding, so right now, endorsements are pretty huge.
I've included the links to their stuff, and I know these guys would love to here some suggestions. If you have any questions, I can do my best to answer them, or you can just ask them.

Tacticon 2013 RTT codex cut-off clarification!!
Hello all. Just a quick clarification. In the pamphlet for the RTT at Tacticon, the cut-off date for codexes is May 31st.
THIS IS INCORRECT. CORRECT CODEX CUT-OFF is July 31st.
The new Eldar codex will be legal, as will the Iyanden and Farsight supplements.
*Thumbsup*!
Sorry for the confusion!
