Genghiscon throw down thrown down!

IMAG0672 This last weekend was Genghiscon and the KoGT was privileged enough to run both the 40K and Malifaux events. The Malifaux run down can be found here. As for the 40K event, it went smashing. Stay tuned to find out more.

IMAG0671 Round one was the Scouring and King of the Hill(a Relic variant, where the marker doesn't move). As with all the missions, I feel it was well written, one being based on book missions, and two the color coded objective markers. At least nobody came up asking about how the missions worked. I even received props from the best general on the missions, though he may be a little biased.
Some more round one pictures:

Round two was Crusade and Purge the Alien. Each round had 5 objectives, there were no random objective totals. They also had kill points, since both Scouring from round one and Big Guns from round two use kill point modifiers. I hoped this balanced the missions a bit more, while still keeping a Kill Points there, but not over bearing.
Round 2:

The final round was Big Guns and Emperor's Will.

I of course failed to get any pictures of the winners. I will try and get the results from the computer guy and post them on here.
Winners:
Tournament Champion: Mike H
Best General: Andy S
Best Painted: Eric J
Best Sports: Adam T
Player's Choice: Tony S

Thanks again to all who came out and made it an awesome event.
See you at Tacticon, just this time from across the table. Muahaha!
